Clinical Governance

How Care Is Governed, and Who Stands Behind It

Sterling is a wellness travel concierge — not a clinic, and not a medical provider. Treatment is delivered by licensed physicians at our Sterling-certified partner clinic, and the content that guides each decision is written and reviewed by the Sterling Research Team. This page sets out the accountability and oversight behind both.

See how the roles divide
How Care Is Governed

Sterling coordinates. The partner clinic decides and delivers.

That separation is deliberate. It keeps every clinical decision with the licensed professionals qualified to make it, and keeps Sterling firmly in the role it is built for — vetting, coordinating, educating, and supporting.

What Sterling does

A wellness travel concierge

  • Vets and certifies partner clinics against a fixed standard
  • Coordinates the entire journey — arrival, accommodation, scheduling, recovery
  • Educates through cited research and an AI-guided assessment
  • Stays with each guest for twelve months after treatment

What the partner clinic does

An independently licensed medical provider

  • Holds current medical licensure under the Thai medical authority
  • Its physicians review bloodwork, diagnose, and recommend a course of care
  • Delivers every treatment and prescribes within its own clinical judgement
  • Signs medical informed consent directly with the guest, on-site

Sterling makes no clinical decisions and provides no treatment. The medical relationship is direct between each guest and the licensed partner clinic, formalised by an informed-consent agreement the guest signs with the clinic on-site.

The Vetting Standard

What a clinic must meet to earn Sterling partnership

These are the standards Sterling requires of any partner clinic — and the standards a guest can hold us to. The specific accreditation framework our partner clinic meets is set out on the Clinic Standards page.

Accreditation & licensure

Internationally recognised facility accreditation (such as JCI) and current national medical licensure, verified before partnership and re-checked on an ongoing basis.

Physician credentialing

Treatment is delivered only by physicians with documented specialty training, active licensure, and a demonstrable track record in regenerative medicine.

Laboratory standards

Cell preparation held to Swiss-grade, GMP-aligned standards, with viability, sterility, and potency testing and a Certificate of Analysis issued for every batch.

Sourcing transparency

Documented cell source, viability, and passage — the numbers the published research uses to judge quality, rather than headline volume marketing.

Safety & follow-up record

A track record across thousands of treatments, with defined screening, adverse-event, and follow-up protocols a partner clinic must operate.

Continuous review

Partnership is earned, never permanent. Standards are reviewed on an ongoing schedule so the bar a guest relies on does not drift over time.

Doctor-Backed AI Oversight

How the AI is held to account

Doctor-Backed AI is one of the most useful things Sterling offers a guest — and one of the most carefully governed. It is built to support, never to diagnose, and it operates inside clear limits.

Supportive, never diagnostic

The Doctor-Backed AI explains, references Sterling research, and helps a guest prepare. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace a physician.

Monitored by the Sterling team

Responses are reviewed by the Sterling team. Any answer that drifts toward overstatement is caught and corrected, and the AI is positioned as a guide, not an authority.

A clear escalation path

Medical questions escalate to the physicians at our partner clinic, who see the full conversation history and the guest’s medical profile before responding.

Traceable and correctable

Every entry the AI writes to a guest’s health record carries provenance — session, message, and timestamp — so the Sterling team can trace and correct it.

Editorial & Research Review

Who reviews Sterling content, and how

The accountable author for Sterling’s research is the Sterling Research Team — a multidisciplinary editorial group responsible for sourcing, accuracy, and compliant framing. It is a described, repeatable process rather than a single byline, and every article moves through it before publication.

  1. 01

    Drafted from primary sources

Every article begins from peer-reviewed clinical research — randomised controlled trials, meta-analyses, and recognised consensus statements — not from secondary summaries.

  2. 02

    Citation & claim check

Each clinical statement is tied to a named, cited study in Harvard style. Claims that cannot be sourced to primary evidence are removed or reframed as educational context.

  3. 03

    Sterling Research Team review

The Sterling Research Team — a multidisciplinary editorial group responsible for accuracy, sourcing, and compliant framing — reviews every draft before it is published.

  4. 04

    Dual-layer plain-language edit

Content is edited to serve two readers at once: a plain-language layer for guests and an academic layer with methodology and citations for those who want the depth.

  5. 05

    Dated publication & scheduled re-review

Articles are published with a review date and revisited on a schedule, so guidance reflects current evidence rather than the moment it was first written.

  6. 06

    Open correction policy

When new evidence or a reader correction surfaces an error, the article is updated and re-dated. Accuracy is treated as an ongoing obligation, not a one-time event.

Standards you can read before you decide

Clarity is the point. When you are ready, the free assessment turns general research into a more personal picture — at no cost, and with no pressure to travel.
